CRAPS

Critical to the understanding of craps is that it is a game of rounds. The first roll in a round is called the come out roll. Sometimes the outcome of a round will be determined on the come out roll. In particular a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 on the come out roll immediately ends a round. If any other total is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) that number is called the point. The dealer will place a white puck on an area of the table to designate what the point is, in case you forget. If a point is rolled, the dice will be rolled continuously until the same point is rolled again or a 7. Craps is an important game for Casino Parties and Casino Nights.

ROULETTE

A U.S. roulette wheel consists of 38 numbered slots: numbers 1 to 36, a zero, and a double zero. The betting layout consists of every individual number as well as a host of "outside" or combinations of numbers. After the players make their bets the dealer spins the wheel and a ball and after several seconds the ball will land in one of the numbered slots.

BLACKJACK

The highest hand in blackjack is an ace and any 10-point card and is called a blackjack. A winning blackjack pays 2:1. If both player and dealer have a blackjack the bet is a push. Aside from a blackjack, awinning hand pays even money. The player wins if his hand has more points than the dealer, without going over 21. Thus a 21-point hand is the highest and is why the game is sometimes called 21. If either the player or dealer go over 21 it is called a break or bust and automatically loses. If the player and dealer tie, the bet is a push.

STUD POKER

Each player and the dealer is dealt their own five card hand. One of the dealer's cards is face up, the other four are face down. Decide to stay in or fold. If you fold, you forfeit your ante. If you stay in, you must add to your bet double the amount of the ante. Assuming the player is still in, the dealer looks at his/her cards. If the dealer does not have at least and ace/king the the player automatically wins even money on the ante and the additional wager is returned. If the dealer does have at least ace/king then a comparison is made between the player's hand and the dealers hand. If the player has the higher hand, he/she wins even money on the ante, and whatever odds are on the bet. If the dealers hand beats the players hand, he loses both the ante and the bet.

TEXAS HOLD'EM
The object of Hold’em is to accumulate money. As in any variation of poker, money is obtained by winning the pot — all the bets made during the course of a hand. There are two ways to win the pot:

• Be the last remaining player — During the play of a hand, players will fold and forfeit their interest in the pot. You win if you are the last remaining player.

• Have the highest ranking hand — If more than one player remains after the last round of betting, there is a showdown. All remaining players show the contents of their hands. If you have the highest-ranking hand, you win the pot.
